Literature Text
She was Daddy’s little girl,
So eager to please,
She was Daddy’s little girl,
In the age of grazed knees.
But you weren't there,
When your little girl cried.
So you didn’t see it,
When she opened her eyes.
And realised,
That all of your promises,
Had only been lies.
They were skilfully woven,
Turned into life ties.
She held on so long.
Waiting for an apology,
Or some sign of regret...
(But all I want now,
Is to be able to forget.)
